Triberger Wasserfälle
163 m, seven cascades — among Germany''s tallest waterfalls, in the Black Forest.
About this spectacle
Triberger Wasserfälle cascade down 163 metres through seven distinct drops, making them among the tallest waterfalls in Germany. Set within the dense spruce and fir forests of the Black Forest, visitors follow a network of paths alongside the rushing Gutach river as it tumbles over mossy granite ledges. The sound builds from a distant roar to an enveloping thunder as you approach the main falls. In spring, snowmelt swells the cascades to their most powerful, sending mist drifting across the viewing platforms. In winter, freezing temperatures can transform the falls into a spectacular curtain of ice. Autumn brings vivid foliage that frames the white water in amber and gold. The site is well-maintained with illuminated paths in the evening season, making it accessible to a wide range of visitors seeking dramatic natural scenery in the heart of Baden-Württemberg.
