Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 15 May 2026

Goyova is supported in part by affiliate partnerships with travel providers. This page explains what that means, how it works, and what it doesn't change about our editorial work.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a link to a product or service that includes a tracking identifier. When you click the link and then book something with the provider (a hotel, a tour, a rental car, etc.), the provider pays Goyova a small commission for referring you. This commission comes from the provider's marketing budget — not from your wallet. You pay exactly the same price you would if you had gone directly to the provider's website.

Which providers does Goyova use?

Goyova links to a variety of travel providers depending on what's appropriate for each event in our catalogue. These may include accommodation aggregators (Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, etc.), tour platforms (Klook, Viator, GetYourGuide), car rentals (Sixt, Europcar, Rentalcars), and others. Where we have a direct affiliate relationship with a provider, we earn a referral commission on bookings. Where we don't, links are plain (unmonetised).

Some links are managed through aggregator services such as Skimlinks, which automatically converts outbound links into affiliate links across many merchants. Where this applies, the same disclosure rules apply: you pay the same price, we may earn a commission.

How this changes our editorial work

It doesn't. The catalogue of natural spectacles, the windows when each one is at its best, and the editorial content describing them are written independently of whether we earn a commission on related bookings. We don't include events because they're commercially attractive. We don't exclude events because they aren't. We don't favour partners over non-partners in the descriptions.

Our income, when it comes, is a downstream consequence of you finding something worth doing — not a reason to recommend one thing over another.

How to recognise affiliate links

Where required by law (for example, in the United States under FTC guidelines), affiliate links are disclosed at the point of use — typically with a small label next to the link or a section note like "Affiliate link" near related content. This page is the global disclosure that covers all such links across Goyova.

Your choices

  • You're never required to book through any link on Goyova. The catalogue and articles are free regardless.
  • If you'd rather not use affiliate links, you can search for the same providers directly through your browser. The pricing is identical either way.
  • If you spot an editorial decision that looks like it was influenced by commercial considerations, email [email protected]. We take that seriously.

Legal compliance

This disclosure is intended to satisfy:

  • Australian Consumer Law (ACL) — including the prohibition on misleading or deceptive conduct under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)
  • US FTC guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255)
  • EU Digital Services Act trader-status disclosure requirements
  • UK ASA / CMA guidance on identifiable advertising
