Pula Cape Kamenjak
Croatia's southernmost Istrian headland — wild limestone cliffs, hidden coves, and vivid Adriatic waters in a protected nature park.
About this spectacle
Cape Kamenjak is a rugged limestone headland at the southernmost tip of the Istrian Peninsula, jutting into the brilliant turquoise waters of the northern Adriatic. Visitors wander a protected nature park of low scrub, wildflowers, and dramatic karst cliffs that plunge directly into the sea. The coastline is a maze of hidden coves and rocky ledges perfect for exploring on foot or by bicycle, with views stretching across to the Croatian islands. In spring, the heathland blooms with orchids and coastal flora. The absence of mass infrastructure keeps the atmosphere raw and unhurried — wind in the maquis, waves on limestone, and an ever-changing light that swings from piercing midday blue to a warm amber at dusk. The cape rewards slow exploration: each turn of the path reveals a new inlet, a different angle on the open sea.
