About this spectacle

Perched on the dramatic cliffs of La Gomera in the Canary Islands, Mirador de Abrante is a viewpoint that rewards visitors with sweeping panoramas across the sea toward the towering silhouette of Tenerife and the snow-capped peak of Mount Teide on clear days. Standing at the edge, visitors feel the Atlantic wind as the landscape drops steeply below into a patchwork of terraced hillsides and dense laurisilva forest. The glassy viewing platform extends outward over the void, offering a sense of suspended weightlessness above the cliffs. Light shifts dramatically throughout the day, with morning haze giving way to crisp midday clarity and golden-hour warmth that saturates the volcanic terrain in amber and ochre. The visual contrast between the deep green of the forest below and the blue expanse of ocean stretching to the horizon makes this one of the most striking vantage points in the Canary Islands.
