About this spectacle

Daedunsan Rock Bridge is a dramatic natural and engineered wonder nestled in the rugged mountain landscape of Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. Visitors traverse a suspended metal bridge and steep stairways bolted directly to sheer granite cliffs and rocky pinnacles, rewarded with sweeping panoramas of jagged peaks draped in forest. In autumn, the surrounding slopes ignite with fiery foliage, and in spring a softer palette of new greens fills the valleys below. The clang of boots on metal, the whistle of mountain wind, and the vertiginous drop to the valley floor below make the crossing an unforgettable sensory event. The exposed granite formations, sculpted by weathering into dramatic spires and overhangs, are the visual centrepiece — a geological spectacle that photographers compose from every angle.
