Visitors riding through the park on licensed night-drive tours scan low branches, dense shrubs, and the edges of open sandy tracks. Genets often pause just long enough to study the vehicle before retreating, giving genuine close-range views. The soundscape is rich with nightjars churring and distant frogs, while the same drive may reveal barn owls quartering the marismas, red deer at the track margins, and — on the rarest of evenings — an Iberian lynx silhouetted in the headlights.
